Cloud Access

Cloud Access enables remote access to WAVER Gateways through a generated subdomain, allowing administrators to reach the device web interface and management services. It operates behind NAT and uses a vendor-managed relay/tunnel over HTTPS, without requiring port forwarding or special network configuration, provided an active internet connection is available.

Security Notice
Cloud Access is intended for controlled, temporary remote administration. When enabled, device management services become accessible via a generated public URL. Cloud Access connections are initiated outbound from the device and do not require inbound firewall rules.

Troubleshooting

Service Not Running

  • Ensure cloud access is enabled.
  • Check internet connectivity.
  • Refresh the page or try again later - If your IP is blocked by the server, it may take up to 24 hours to reset.

Cloud URLs Not Visible

  • Verify that cloud access is turned ON.
  • Wait for the system to refresh.
  • If the issue persists, restart your Main Router and the WAVER Gateway.

Important Notes

  • Public URLs may be subject to firewall and security settings.
  • System refreshes automatically every 7 seconds for real-time updates.
  • Enable Cloud Access only when remote administration is required

  • Disable Cloud Access after completing maintenance or configuration tasks

  • Use strong administrator passwords and limit the number of admin accounts
