Facebook Login Authentication

Facebook Login Authentication allows guests to connect to your network using their Facebook account. This method not only simplifies the login process for users but also provides you with valuable information such as their profile name and Facebook email address, which is stored in your device’s database.

Follow the steps below to enable Facebook Login Authentication:

Step 1 - Configure Captive Portal appearance


Step 2 - Navigate to the Authentication Page

Step 3 - Enable Facebook Login Authentication

  • Scroll down to the "Guest Authentication" section where different login options are listed.
  • Select the checkbox for "Enable Facebook Login Authentication". This will allow users to log in using their Facebook account.



Step 4 - Customize Facebook Login

  • Set the Facebook login title (e.g., "Login with Facebook").
  • Customize the submit button text (e.g., "Log in with Facebook").
  • Add a brief message under Facebook login text (e.g., "Use your existing Facebook account to connect to our network.").



Step 5 - Save Changes

  • Once you've customized the Facebook login settings, click Save to apply the changes.




⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Data Storage: By enabling Facebook Login, user personal information, such as their Facebook profile name and email address, will be stored in your database. Be sure to inform users about how their data will be used through your Terms and Privacy page. You can update and customize your service terms and privacy policy on the Legal Compliance page to reflect the use of Facebook data. 

  • Data Access: Full profile names and email addresses (if allowed by the users during login) will be stored in the device's database. Facebook user data can be accessed under Analytics > Facebook Users page.
  • Concurrent Login Methods: You can enable multiple authentication methods at once by selecting other options such as voucher login or email validation in addition to Facebook login.

By following these steps, you can offer your guests the convenience of logging in with Facebook while ensuring compliance with data usage regulations.
