Coupon Campaigns

Utilizing this campaign type, the system autonomously generates and dispatches unique coupon codes to guests. The Coupon Campaigns page allows you to create and manage coupon-based campaigns that provide discounts via Email or SMS to selected guest segments.

Features

  • Create Coupon Campaigns: Define discount amounts and validity periods.

  • Schedule Campaigns: Set start and end dates for when coupons are sent.

  • Customize Content: Tailor Email and SMS messages for each campaign.

⚠️ Note: Ensure Email and SMS connectivity are set up in Connectivity Settings.



Create a Coupon Campaign

Creating a coupon campaign allows businesses to offer targeted discounts to their users based on predefined criteria such as visit frequency and user type. This helps enhance customer engagement and drive repeat visits.

  • Access the Campaign Manager
    Log in to the Admin Panel and navigate to Campaign Manager > Coupons.

  • Click "New Coupon Campaign"
    Press the New Coupon Campaign button to begin setting up a new campaign.

  • Define Coupon Settings
    1. Enter the Coupon Title: Give your coupon a recognizable name.
    2. Activate the Coupon: Check the Active box to make it available.
    3. Select the Delivery Channels: Email, Facebook and Mobile users.
  • Set Coupon Validity
    Choose a specific start and expiration date. Or, select a validity period based on the number of days after receipt.

  • Define Discount Amount

    Choose between a fixed amount (€/$) or percentage discount (%).

  • Select the required visit count
    Define the minimum number of guest visits before they receive the coupon.

  • Select the delivery delay:

    • Immediately upon qualification.

    • After a specified time (5 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 day, etc.).

Customize Email Coupon Content

This feature allows you to create and personalize email messages accompanying the coupon.

Customize Email Content

  • Personalize the subject line and main body text.

  • Enhance with images or promotional banners.

  • Use the built-in HTML Editor for rich content (videos, iframes, external elements).

  • Modify template elements via Captive Portal > Theme Editor > Emails tab.

Customize SMS Coupon Content

This feature allows you to customize SMS Text that will be delivered in form of an SMS Coupon.

SMS Customization Tips:

  • Keep it Concise: Ensure clear and impactful messaging.

  • Include Personalization: Reference visit history.

  • Add Links: Use shortened URLs for promotions.

  • Use Variables: 
    {{discount}} – Discount amount will be displayed
    {{code}} – The coupon code will be displayed
    {{start_date}} – Valid from date will be displayed
    {{end_date}} – Valid until date will be displayed

Sample SMS Template:

Welcome back! You just received a {{discount}} discount! Use code {{code}} from {{start_date}} until {{end_date}}.

Removing a Coupon Campaign

  1. Locate the Coupon: Go to Campaign Manager > Coupons.

  2. Delete: Click the trash icon in the Actions column next to the coupon.



    Editing a Coupon Campaign

    1. Locate the Coupon Campaign: Navigate to Campaign Manager > Coupons and click on the Campaign you would like to edit.

    2. Edit Details:

      • Modify target audience, discount value, trigger conditions, or validity period.

      • Update Email/SMS content and visuals.

    3. Save Changes: Review updates and apply them by clicking Save.

    Managing Coupon Codes with the Manager App

    The Coupon Manager App, integrated into the WAVER OS, empowers administrators to redeem individual coupon codes generated and delivered automatically by the system when running Coupon Campaigns.

    Viewing Available Coupons

    1. Log in to the Coupon Manager App.

    2. Click on "Available Codes" to see all active, unredeemed coupons.

    3. The table displays details such as coupon code, discount value, creation date, validity period, and status.

    4. Use the search bar or filter options to quickly locate specific coupons.



    Redeeming a Coupon Code

    1. Navigate to "Available Codes" and find the coupon that needs to be redeemed.

    2. Click the "Redeem" button next to the selected coupon.

    3. A confirmation pop-up will appear; click "Yes" to confirm.

    4. The coupon status will update, and the redeemed coupon will now appear under the "Redeemed Codes" section.

     

     

    Other options

    • Use the "Refresh" button to update the coupon list with real-time data.

    • Use the "Delete Selected" button to remove expired or unused coupons.

    • To prevent unauthorized deletion, admin authentication is required before bulk deletions.



    Important Notes

    • Verify that Email SMTP and SMS connectivity settings are correctly configured in the Connectivity Settings page to ensure successful message delivery.

    • Review your SMTP and SMS provider sending limits to avoid disruptions.
    • The job worker for campaigns runs on a 10-minute schedule, meaning that all automations and bulk campaigns may take up to 10 minutes to process and execute.
