First Login
Accessing the Device
- Connect the Waver Hotspot Gateway to your ISP Router's LAN port using the WAN/Internet port. DHCP Client is enabled by default, allowing the Waver Gateway to automatically obtain an IP address from your main router.
- Connect your PC to the Waver Hotspot Gateway via LAN/MGMT Ports.
- Open a web browser (Chrome is recommended) and enter the default IP address in the browser's URL bar: http://192.168.10.1
- Admin Login page will be displayed.
Please use the following default login credentials to login:
> Username: admin
> Password: waver
First Time login
When you first access the Waver Hotspot Gateway, you'll be guided through the initial setup using the Quick Setup Wizard. This step is essential to configure key settings for optimal performance and network security.
Follow the instructions below to complete your first login and setup:
1. Accepting EULA Terms and getting ready
Before proceeding to Quick Setup Wizard, users must accept the End User License Agreement (EULA), Configure time zone, RF country (needed for regulatory compliance) and language preferences.
2. Wizard Setup
After logging in, the Wizard will guide you through configuring essential settings.
Quick Setup Wizard configures:
- Device Admin Panel Password: Set a secure password for accessing the device admin panel and other applications.
- Internet Connection and Cloud Access: Configure how the device connects to the internet and enable Cloud access if desired. Cloud access provides a URL for remote access to the device administration from anywhere.
- WiFi Configuration (If applicable): Set up WiFi SSID and operation settings for integrated WiFi models.
- Look Configuration (SmartOne only): Customize the look of the device, including RGB color and intensity settings, and the appearance of the WAVER logo.
- Captive Portal Customization: Personalize the captive portal with your company's information, including titles, company details, logo, images, video, and banner text.
- Login Methods: Choose how guests will authenticate their access, including options such as Free login, Email login, Mobile/SMS login, Facebook login, Voucher login, or a combination of these methods.
- Guest Time and Bandwidth Limits: Set limits on guest access duration and bandwidth usage to manage network resources effectively.
By completing the setup wizard and configuring key settings, administrators can customize the Waver Gateway to ensure secure and reliable guest internet access.
