Connectivity Settings
The Connectivity Settings page allows you to configure the email and SMS systems for your campaigns, guest interactions, and notifications. It includes settings for both Email and SMS services, enabling seamless communication with your users.
Email Settings
To send emails from your device, an active email account and SMTP configuration are required.
These settings enable features such as:
- Email Automation for campaigns
- Bulk Email Messages
- Email Discount Coupons
- OTP (when OTP Email Verification is enabled)
Configuration Steps:
- Default SMTP Email Service: This option is ideal for sending basic OTP messages.
- Enable by checking the Default | OTP Only option.
- Note: A free general-purpose email address is provided for OTP functionality. However, we recommend using the Custom SMTP Parameters option (detailed below) for enhanced features and reliability.
- Custom SMTP Parameters: Use this option to access all email-related features.
- Fill in the required fields:
- From Email: The email address displayed as the sender.
- Sender Name: Typically your company name.
- Reply-To Email: Address where responses are received.
- SMTP Host: Outgoing mail server (e.g.,
ssl://smtp.example.com
). - Port: Default SSL port is
465
. - Username: Your email account username.
- Password: Your email account password.
- Save Configuration
- Relad page and test the configuration using the Test Email Connectivity button.
- Fill in the required fields:
SMS Settings
SMS functionality requires integration with a supported gateway such as SMSGlobal or Clickatell. SMS enables:
- Mobile Login (OTP).
- SMS Automation.
- Bulk SMS Messages.
- SMS Coupons.
Configuration Steps:
- Enable SMS: Check the Enable SMS option to activate SMS features.
- Default Country Code: Select the default country code for guest phone numbers.
- OTP SMS Retry Timeout: Set the duration (in minutes) for retry attempts.
SMSGlobal Integration
SMSGlobal is a leading SMS gateway provider offering SMS communication solutions for businesses. It simplifies sending bulk SMS, automating SMS campaigns, and managing transactional messages.
To enable SMS functionality on your device using SMSGlobal, follow these steps:
- Enable the SMSGlobal API by checking the box.
- Enter the required fields:
- API Username and API Password: Obtain these from your SMSGlobal account.
- SMS Sender Name: Your registered sender name (up to 12 characters) or opt to use a random number.
- Save Configuration
- Test your SMSGlobal configuration using the Test SMS Connectivity button.
Clickatell Integration
Clickatell is a global leader in mobile messaging solutions, providing reliable and scalable SMS services. It caters to businesses looking to enhance customer engagement via SMS.
To enable SMS functionality on your device using Clickatell, follow these steps:
- Enable the Clickatell API by checking the box.
- Enter the required fields:
- API Key: Obtain this from your Clickatell account.
- Sender Name: Registered number (required in some Countries) or leave it blank to use a default option.
- Save Configuration
- Test your Clickatell configuration using the Test SMS Connectivity button.
Testing and Troubleshooting
- After Saving, please test your configurations by sending a test email or SMS.
- Ensure the correct credentials and settings are applied for successful connectivity.
