WAVER AI Assistant
The WAVER AI Assistant is a page-aware chatbot built into WAVER OS. It can explain the page you are viewing, read its available content and settings, recommend improvements, help complete forms, troubleshoot issues, and apply supported changes directly to the interface.
The Assistant is available in:
An active WAVER+ AI license, or an eligible WAVER+ trial is required. Usage is subject to the token or request allowance included with the active trial or subscription. You can enable this feature from System > Add-ons & Licenses page.
How it works
The Assistant uses the context of the page currently open in your browser, including page titles, help text, form labels, available options, and supported field values.
It can:
-
Explain pages and settings.
-
Recommend suitable configuration changes.
-
Draft, rewrite, summarize, or translate text.
-
Help complete forms step by step.
-
Update supported fields, switches, and controls.
-
Generate or improve HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where custom code is supported.
-
Suggest troubleshooting steps based on the visible configuration.
When the Assistant applies a change, it updates the relevant page elements in the browser. It does not bypass WAVER permissions or normal validation.
Important: AI-applied changes are not saved automatically. Review the result and click the page's normal Save, Apply, or Update button. Leaving or reloading the page before saving may discard the changes.
Using the Assistant
When enabled, the Assistant appears as a floating chat button in the lower-right corner of supported pages.
-
Open the page on which you need assistance.
-
Click the floating AI Assistant button.
-
Select a Quick Action or type a request.
-
Answer any follow-up questions.
-
Review the response and any applied changes.
-
Save the page when you are satisfied with the result.
Use Clear chat to remove the current conversation and start again.
Quick Actions

-
Help me complete this form: Guides you through the form and applies supported changes when possible.
-
What should I configure first? Identifies the highest-priority settings.
-

AI Assistant settings
The Assistant can be enabled or disabled separately for each supported component.
-
Click the magic-wand icon in the Admin Panel top bar.
-
Open AI Assistant settings.
-
Enable or disable:
-
Admin Panel
-
Voucher Manager
-

Each switch is saved when changed. The page refreshes after the settings window is closed so the new selection can take effect. If no eligible trial or active AI license is available, WAVER displays a license-required notice.
Best use cases
| Use case | What the Assistant can do | Example prompt |
|---|---|---|
| Page guidance | Explain settings, identify priorities, and recommend a configuration. | “Explain this page and tell me what I should configure first.” |
| Copywriting | Improve portal messages, headings, campaigns, and menu descriptions. | “Rewrite this welcome message for a boutique hotel in under 35 words.” |
| Translations | Translate visible content while preserving tone and brand names. | “Translate this portal text into French and keep the tone welcoming.” |
| Form completion | Fill supported fields and controls from a plain-language request. | “Set the redirect delay to eight seconds and use our homepage URL.” |
| Voucher Manager | Explain voucher options and assist with voucher configuration. | “Help me configure vouchers that remain valid for seven days.” |
| Live! Menu | Improve descriptions, translate menu content, and standardize wording. | “Improve these descriptions without changing ingredients or prices.” |
| Custom code | Generate, explain, or improve HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. | “Fix this CSS mobile overflow without changing the desktop layout.” |
| Troubleshoot | Review visible settings and suggest an order of checks. | “The redirect is not working. Review this page and tell me what to check.” |
Copywriting and translations
The Assistant is especially useful for creating consistent customer-facing content across portal pages, campaigns, and Live! Menu. Specify the audience, language, tone, and preferred length.
Always review translations of legal notices, privacy information, safety instructions, and other critical text before publishing.
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
On pages that support custom code, such as the Theme Editor, the Assistant can generate, review, explain, or improve code.
Test all generated code carefully. Incorrect code may affect portal appearance, browser behavior, accessibility, or security.
Troubleshooting
The Assistant can inspect the visible page configuration and identify likely mistakes.
However, it may not have access to every external service, network condition, server log, or third-party system involved in an issue.
Writing better prompts
For better results, include:
-
Goal: What you want to achieve.
-
Audience: Guests, staff, administrators, or another group.
-
Tone and language: For example, concise, premium, friendly, or technical.
-
Constraints: Length, brand terms, values, or settings that must remain unchanged.
-
Action preference: Ask it to recommend changes only, or to apply them directly.
For example: Rewrite the visible welcome message for an upscale hotel. Keep it friendly, under 40 words, preserve the hotel name, and show me the text before applying it.
Reviewing AI-applied changes
Before saving:
-
Check every changed field or control.
-
Verify URLs, limits, dates, email addresses, and numerical values.
-
Preview customer-facing pages on desktop and mobile devices.
-
Test authentication, redirects, integrations, or custom code when affected.
-
Save only after the result has been verified.
For complex tasks, ask the Assistant to explain its proposed changes before applying them.
Privacy, security, and limitations
Relevant page context and the messages you enter may be processed by the WAVER+ AI service to generate responses and perform supported actions.
-
Do not enter passwords, private keys, API secrets, payment information, or other confidential credentials.
-
Avoid including personal guest information unless necessary and authorized.
-
Review AI-generated code before deployment.
-
Verify critical network, security, billing, authentication, and access-control changes manually.
-
Have legal, privacy, compliance, and contractual text reviewed by a qualified professional.
-
Disable the Assistant in components where it is not required.
The Assistant requires an Internet connection, an active AI-enabled trial or license, and remaining usage allowance. It works only with the context and supported controls available on the current page, and its responses may vary.
Always verify critical changes before putting them into production.
