System Events

The System Events section provides a persistent record of important system, security, configuration, and administrative events on the gateway. Use it to review device activity, investigate incidents, and trace who changed what, when, and from where.

You can access it from System > System Events.

Event Table

Each recorded event is listed with the following information:

  • Time – Date and time the event occurred, in the device's time zone
  • Level – Severity of the event (see Event Levels below)
  • IP – IP address the action was performed from
  • Actor – The account that performed the action, for example admin for the Admin Panel administrator or app-admin for the Voucher Manager administrator
  • Event – Description of what happened

Events are sorted newest first. Long descriptions are shortened to two lines in the table. Click any row to open the Event details window with the full description.

Event Levels

Each event is tagged with a severity level, shown as a colored badge:

  • ERROR (red) – A failure or problem that requires attention
  • WARNING (yellow) – A change or condition that may reduce security or data protection, for example disabling the Data Retention policy
  • INFO (blue) – Normal activity such as admin sign-ins, setup steps, and configuration changes
  • DEBUG (grey) – Detailed diagnostic entries, mainly useful when troubleshooting with support

Searching and Filtering

Search
Type in the Search events... field to show only events containing that text in any column, such as an IP address, an account name, or a keyword like sign-in.

Level Filter
Use the level buttons next to the search field to show only events of a specific severity. Click All to clear the filter. Only levels currently present in the log are shown as buttons.

Time Range
Use the calendar dropdown to limit events to a specific period:

  • All time (default)
  • Last 30 days
  • Last 7 days
  • Today
  • Custom – Select a From and To date and click Apply. Either date can be left empty for an open-ended range.

Rows per Page

Use the list button to display 10, 25 (default), 50, or 100 events per page.

Search, level, and time filters can be combined, for example WARNING events from the last 7 days.

Status Line
The status line above the table displays:

  • Auto-refresh – The page checks for new events every 5 seconds without reloading
  • Entries – Number of events matching the current filters
  • Updated – Time of the last refresh

Exporting Events

Click the download button to export events.

Export CSV
Downloads the events matching the selected level and time range as a CSV file (system-events-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM.csv). The file contains the columns TS, LEVEL, IP, ACTOR, and MSG, with full timestamps including the time zone offset, and opens directly in Excel and other spreadsheet applications.

Export in Print Mode
Opens the browser's print dialog for the current view, so you can print the events or save them as PDF.

Note: Print Mode includes only the events shown on the current page. Increase Rows per Page before printing to include more events.

Investigating an Incident

  1. Select the time range in which the issue occurred.
  2. Click WARNING or ERROR to focus on important events.
  3. Search for an IP address or account name to trace the actions of a specific device or user.
  4. Click an event to view its full details.
  5. Click Export CSV to keep a record or share it.

Important Notes

  • Event times use the device's time zone. Make sure it is set correctly in System > Time & Region. If your browser and device time zones differ, a warning icon appears in the top bar and time range filters may be offset.
  • Review WARNING events regularly, as they often indicate changes that reduce security or data protection.
  • System Events is a read-only record. Events cannot be edited or deleted from this page.
  • Export events periodically if you need to keep an audit record outside the device using FTP Uploader, for example for compliance purposes.
